I believe that the worst mistake a person can make is to not be willing to take chances. I am not talking about bungee jumping or things like that. I am not talking about thrill seeking. I am talking about taking chances that improve ones life. Taking that promotion even if you are unsure of yourself. Experiencing love even if you get hurt and having enough faith to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again if you fail. Moving to another city or state where the opportunities are better. Standing up for what you believe in no matter what others think.
Life is full of opportunity and sometimes the only thing holding us back is the unwillingness to step out on that ledge and take that chance.

The worst mistake a person can make is not to be true to themselves. We as people owe it to ourselves to live by a moral code that is created by the individual , and not by organized religion(ps. in my opinion , the Ten Commandments make alot of sense, even though I am not highly religious.) or the opinions of other people.Being able to live with yourself and sleep in peace knowing you have lived up to your own standards is priceless. There are thousands of things one could say to answer this question, but at the end of the day, you have to answer to yourself, because you live within your own skin.

To knowingly, purposefully hurt another. . . either emotionally or physically. To lie to yourself and try to deny what you really need to do is pretty bad too.

Not choosing to accept the Word of God and allowing Jesus Christ to be their Saviour. Those will spend eternity in a dank, dark place filled with groanings and agony and unsatisfied desires.

Being unfaithful.
(Apart from the obvious answers like being a chainsaw murderer or Hitler or rapist and the like...).
