If you have dry skin then an emmolliant cream called Diprobase (bought from the pharmacy counter in boots) is fantastic. It is used by people with excema etc which means that it is really mild with nothing in it that can irritate your skin. I use it all the time and at <£3 a tube its a bargain. It is quite rich though so if you have greasy skin it might be a bit much. E45 is also good. Neither of these have the bathroom shelf appeal of fancy face potions like Clarins etc but I think its better to have something that works than something fashionable.

Alternatively Body Shop's Vitamin E moisturiser is gorgeous. It's really light and smells lovely. I have sensitive skin and I use it morning and night with no ill effects.

I know this sounds gross but a bit of olive oil on the skin helps Im told. I havent actually tried it but I have seen people who do do it and they dont have a single wrinkle and they are over 40.!
It has no chemicals and moisturises the skin well without leaving it feeling greasy. I never tried it though because it seems a bit icky to me.

Dermalogica have an amazing range of totally natural products that serve all skin types, they cost around £30. If that's too much, Boots have brands like Simple and Neutrogena which are good for sensitive skin for around £4-£7. If these are all too strong E45 will sort you out-£4

Actually, as weird as this sounds coming from a guy, I sell beauty products, including moisturizers, that are made for all types of skin. Included in these is the Skin Equations line, which does have a moisturizer. Below is the details from the website, as well as the link to my site, where you can order anything you'd like! Good luck and happy hunting!

I have very sensitive skin I went to my GP and he prescribed CETRABEN (EMOLLIENT CREAM) you use a couple spots on your fingers to wash your face with, and after drying rub a bit in the skin. It is marvellous stuff I don't know if you can buy it over the counter but it is worth trying. There is no odour what's so ever to it, don't use Vaselene because it is to greasey but this cream is not I can gaurantee it will do you good. Good Luck

if you go to a big boots or debenhams store they will have lots of different counters where you can have consultations to see what product suits your skin best. I used to suffer from really bad dry skin on my face so i popped along to my cliniqe counter and kissed goodbye to dry skin.. I use the 3 step programme and extra surge moisturise face cream.

Simple to an excellent range which has no perfumes, colours or additives. I use this as I have very sensitive skin and it is the only one I have tried that doesn't aggrivate my skin. You can buy it at Boots, Superdrug etc and is ver reasonable at around£4.99. You can also get it on the net for £5.05, here is the site for you

Estee Lauder Verite is the most gentle and effective moisturizer I have ever used. I use all of Verite line, cleanser, toner, and moisterizers on my sensitive skin it never stings even close to my eyes and always feels soothing. Ask an Estee Lauder rep for a sample...you will be very pleased to have finally found a product that is as gentle as it effective as it claims. =^..^=

I've been using after-sun skin repair for years as a normal face cream and it is quiet good for around the eyes. Try it for a while.
