place them in your local shop window or place an add in the paper.

Here goes... Comp 1: 125-150.. Maybe could get 200 but I seriously doubt it. 2: 30-40 3: 150-200 4: 75-100 5: 175-200 64MB Ram is probably PC100 or PC133, should be a sticker on there that'll tell you.. 10 bucks 1GB Ram, may be DDR, you'll have to find out exactly.. 20 bucks, maybe. Best off recycling the batteries... PS3: 100 PS2: 30 PS2 Stick: 10 I wouldn't go parting out anything unless you actually find a buyer that's interested in parts, it's hard to sell parts because it's hard to prove they're in working order. Those old motherboards are worth at least a buck or two, just for the capacitors in them if they're still good. I know, because I buy them sometimes for fixing other boards or LCD monitor power boards.

I use ebay all the time, only had one scammer. The easiest way to avoid scammers on ebay is to automatically remove anyone with less than 5 positive feedbacks, that way you don't get all the 0 rated bidders (normally from nigeria or albania etc) putting the item up to silly money and then asking for a return cheque.
Other way would be to go to a local computer shop that sells second hand good, and let them sell them for a commission.
By the way, I need one, so maybe you could PM me and I'll have a look?

Here's a suggestion - put them back on Ebay, in the listing put something about 'will not ship to Nigeria, etc' and make your listing one that stays open until someone actually makes payment with Paypal ("immediate payment required" auction). They'll need a credit card to fund any paypal payment, and you can state that you'll only sell to buyers with verified paypal addresses i.e. you are eligible for protection if there's a fraud.
Have been plagued myself with the fraudsters, but now I make it abundantly clear that I will NOT be tricked in to sending to Africa, it's dried up. The 'immediate payment' bit is just some additional protection, although it will narrow down your potential customer base a little.
All the best

Don't you remember the good old days BEFORE eBay? How did we sell stuff then? Oh yeah, we put adverts in shops and papers - I remember now!

yup, an ad in the local paper is the best, people always want 2nd hand laptops, and if its local, you can meet in person to exchange the money
