Recognize one simple fact - there are things in the world that you can change and even more that you cannot. And furthermore, EVERYONE feels this way to some degree. You're okay. No amount of psychiatric drugs or transcendental meditation is is going to help you if you can't stop sweating the little stuff. But if you only focus on the things you CAN do to make a positive impact in your life, you will find that the success that creates will bring you much more happiness than any stupid handful of pills.

depression is a normal thing. It happens to all people in all walks of life. But how long your depression last? weeks? months? what coping mechanism do you use or do??? people deal with it in different kind of way... Some people is spiritual and pray and meditate. some cling to friends and vent out their feelings and anxiety. .. most women do shopping and comfort eating. . . some drink alcohol but please not in excess. YOU CAN ALSO DISPLACED YOUR DEPRESSION IN OTHER ACTIVITIES LIKE think of something you really like to do for a long time... maybe learn how to drive, learn how to cook a good meal, learn more and take masters degree and never stop learning. Maybe a shift of enviroment can help. If you're in the city go to a country, if you are in a country go to a city.
But at the end of the day, it is still your SOLITUDE that will conquer you. It is from within. face your loneliness, face your depression as a real and normal thing in life...
goodluck!

What you resists persists... in other words you're fighting the feeling of depression instead of choosing to do something different. I know that when I'm depressed I reach out to a friend and tell them what's going on, then I take action, exercise, read, help others, do things that are uplifting. If you feel that no matter what you do you cannot get out of a state of depression then you should see a doctor and find out if medication is right for you.
You only have one life, why spend it moping?
Here's a great quote to remember:
"It is impossible to be depressed and grateful at the same time" - anonymous.
So try Gratitude, for EVERYTHING in your life!

Because I am a very passionate person I find myself on the edge of depression quite often.....apparently from being so sensitive. To solve these problems I work out daily because being strong in body allows for me to be stronger in mind.... Also, I meditate daily on most serene scenery....either by looking at beautiful landscape first, or by picturing childhood scenes which make me feel good (10 min.) ... Also, a good diet I have found calms the nerves and just makes me feel a little bit more complete all around. Gobs of water does good as well. I also belong to big brothers/sisters and feel that helping young people has brought something out of me that I didn't realize existed... compassion. So, something of a hobby that is healthy or helping people may help a bit as well. Try not to take any prescriptions as all they are is a prescription to more and different drugs in the future. good luck and be well and email me if you need anything... Jack

Almost all of us get depressed at times....this very natural.
for being happy follow tripod of happiness
1: hope,(be hope for not all but at least few thing in ur life)
2: intimacy(It not necessarily realted to opposite sex, so realize how imp you are for someone and make other realize that how imp that person is for you).
3: comsumption of your productivity(and if you are not doing something, try to find out your capabilities and do it nothing is big and small so do whatevr u feel u can well).
all three dont contribute 33% of each so you can increase one precentage if one is low....

depression is the mind and body's way of telling you you're on the wrong track. look at what triggers your worst episodes and figure out how to change your life. don't depend on meds alone, they just placate you and stall you for time if you're not making other healthy changes in your life.

Try this. Walk 30 minutes a day, preferably in the afternoon. Say to your self, "Jesus is with me." Talk to him as a friend. Tell me the result.
