My DVD player wont seem to come on when I put the disk in . I had it working fine the other day I cant figure it out I went back threw the introduction to see if there was something I missed but all settings were good to go and no changes. does anyone have any advice on things I could try to get it working? Would be very grateful for any info! Thanks, Kim

see if the led on the player turns on when you switch on the comp.if it doesn,its a problem with your dvd drive and not windows.
either its not getting the power or the lens is spoiled.

Firstly, what has Windows XP got to do with a DVD player? Unless it's a DVD playing program within window XP that's you're talking about. Then now, which program are you talking about? There are hundreds of types of programs that can be used, so you'll need to specify which one.

If you are using Windows Media Player (WMP), just go to File>Open, then browse to your DVD drive and select the proper file.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

try with some other disc.....
if problem persists contact the vendor
