It really depends on what kind of a problem it is. Kids are good at solving certain problems, the elders at solving other kinds of problems.
Certain types of problems didn't exist until recently and few grandparents have had to try to solve them, while the youth knows how they can be solved. The grandparents on the other hand have extensive experience and wisdom that could help them solve the types of problems that have been around for a long time.
This is one of the reasons why I think it's important that the government consists of a few different generations, not just one generation. They're missing out on important skills their generation lacks that other generations have. The old generation has wisdom and experience, the young generation has fresh ideas, new knowledge and a different outlook on things. A bit of both is good.

You've got to be kidding me. The elders of this country of course. Todays youth is as smart as a pickle. It is absolutely terrifying how dumb the kids are today. I'm scared to be quite honest and just because of the lack of education I'm not so sure being in this country when I am old will be a good idea. It's that scary. be well, Jack

I tend to think that the hardest problems in today's society would be best solved by three year olds. They're real, they want to be inclusive, and their deepest need is to be loved. Plus they're unconditionally loving...
think about how problem solving would be if our world leaders could have those qualities as their most valued!
