My first thought is, what is going to make this person think I love them less?
My second thought is, am I fully aware of this person's insecurities and am I willing to put with them the rest of my life? And is he always going to be this needy or it a passing phase?

my mom. she used this exact phrase when she wants to get some house work done by me. she used to go ' how much do you love me... ' then I'd answer 'a lot'. the she'd go 'then please sweep the garden for me... I'm dying here with all the work, if you love me that much you can seriously help me too'.
it was mostly a game we played, because i knew every time when she asked that question she about to give me some work to o.

it depends on the case,, if i really love the person who asked me i ll tell him (more than i love my self),,if this Q came sudnly and for the first time i ll be silent and dont answer immediatly even i was in love with that person............
