Any action you decide to take is not going to appear to be pleasant but you must do something. Just think if it was you thatt sat on that needle and now have contracted something and if he didnt whats to say it will not happen in the future? Some people take years to test positive for such pathogens like Aids. If it were me, and i am aware its not easy, i would try to find someone that could take custody of the kids like an aunt or uncle, grandpa/ma, and remove the children from the situation. If that is not a possibility you must turn them over to CPS and your sister MUST go to a clinic to obtain treatment. You cant get over heroin by yourself. Its too addicting. However, if she goes to a clinic for a couple of months she may be able to get her kids back too. So its an added bonus to stop her drug abuse.

Best Wishes!!

First you have to make her realize that heroine is ruining her life. Only when she realize that and wake up... then she can properly receive help. Cause there is no point in forcing someone to seek help if they don't understand why.

She needs intervention...unfortunately you do not seemed to be equiped for this matter...she needs to go into counciling...if you cannot talk her into it quietly walk away and seek help through the law...you may loose her trust, but she will gain herself back...

The best thing to do is leave that child in harms way. Congratulations on your decision.
