This is a nice thing to do but only consider it for part time and not as your main source of income ... After all this too has the same pyrimidical structure so this may come to saturation after some time.. Also do it if u think that u have a good network of friends to see a quick success....
Please take advise of some elders also ........

Listen, treat this like a REAL business. The money is there, however, your gonna work your tail off to get it. If your not willing to put the time into it, then pack it up and go home. Keep your job. DONT do 100 p.v. just to get the 3% bonus every month, and if your up line tells you too, tell em to mind THIER business. Because as Im sure they told you, this is YOUR business. Treat it as such. Send out a Grand Opening flier, to your "warm market", and don't try to recruit your warm market. They probably aren't interested to starting thier own business anyway, so don't shove it down thier throat (they are your customer base), And when you so sponsor some one, have them write you thier warm market list, then mail them his/her Grand Opening flier. Also look into ILD, or some other business support materials. They will keep you motivated when business isn't soo good. Be willing to go through 20 rejections before you get 1 prospect to join, but remember, it's nothing personal, its just business.
Don't over extend yourself financially to get a bonus. Yes, your up-line will be happier than a hog in mud, but lets focus on your business. If you have no leadership capabilities, GET SOME NOW! If you hit it hard, in 3-5 years (if your lucky) you'll make D.D.(platnum).
If you read, hear, or find-out any disturbing "news", tune it out. Everyone has an oppinion on anything, and many LOVE to share thier own. Otherwise, study alot, from many sources, when your not at your day job, you should be studying, for about 3 months before you try to approach anyone to start thier own business. Its really hard to start a business when you don't know anything about marketing yourself. In MLM, it doesn't matter what business you use, or really what kind of product you have, its all about your leadership skills, and the ability to sell yourself to others (period). Go look at dollar stores , and it doesn't take a genious to see a ton of sub-standard product moved rather quickly.(of course they have the advantage of advertiseing, and a physical store... which could be considered advertiseing) make noise, send out fliers, let everyone know your in business. YOUR business, not Amway - Amway just provides the product, you sell it, make it available.
To answer your question, Its up to you. Are you the type that is willing to go out there and make it happen? YOU are gonna have to be to make it happen for you. Otherwise, get your refund. And if you get your refund, don't sit there and Piss all over the whole industry.

First and foremost - MLMs try to make people believe that you can actually derive benefits from somebody else's work and capacity. This is seldom so in reality. It's against the very law of nature! Yes, there are parasites in nature too, but they are not generally respected or celebrated for their cunning nature.
So, when people tell you that your job stops with just introducing newer people under you in the pyramid and that you will keep receiving one cheque a week as long as you live just cos the people under you are working, it's pure drivel!
Many of my friends have joined different kinds of these MLMs. Most of them have received NO CHEQUES, and very few received a few cheques. And ONLY ONE recovered the amount he invested. And he too did not receive anything more than that!
One more prob with respect to MLMs is that most of the products are heavily priced! Of course, the marketing division will claim that the products are much better than the ones existing in the market, but anyways, getting people to trust the MLM's brand and buy it at a significantly high price without knowing if the claims are true, is too much!
Especially in India, where the market is definitely price conscious.
Yes I agree that even in India there are lots of people who do not mind about the price as long as they are convinced with the quality. There are lots of people like this who lay greater emphasis on quality of the good without bothering about the price. But it is quite a task to find such people, get in touch with them, and convince them that your product has whatever they expect. And if you can do that, then it means your marketing skills are amazing. Then you can anyway get a good job in some marketing firm.
Moreover, when you begin the work you might start with great motivation because you might have the illusion that you have lots of contacts who can be convinced. But, it does not always happen so.
Even if all your contacts buy something from you, once you have exhausted all your contacts, it's very difficult to get more people (strangers) to even listen to you. Cos they will treat you just like any other door-to-door salesman!
So, my belief is - if you think you can triumph in MLM, you can very well try for a good marketing job elsewhere!

I too once had this perception on big money in MLM, but beleive me it's not as easy as you might think. I'd really suggest you get a headstart on your existing career by changing it to a more challenging one, try to go in for courses to increase knowledge on your field and put in a LOT of effortand offcourse leave the rest to God. I assure you that you cannot fail if you follow these basic funda's instead on trying yoursel something which is totally new to you.

Excellent advice, Stephen L. In my experience those who make money with Amway are those who treat it like a business. Work hard, be willing to learn, be professional, and in my opinion there is no better opportunity.

It could be a nice and great step if you can make it. this is not a cash-cow. do the business serious and with high level of interest you will be sucessful. Treat the business like a business. not just a hobby. people who treat the business as hobby paid as hobby. sometime actually most of the time it casue money.
Now be sure about the" system", i am not makeing any comment about the "System Stuff", if you are told to "Follow the System" well do your homework and make your own dicission. That "system" may be little fancy. Thanks

It is the stupid thing. If you are first few members of the starting team, it is good, else it is very bad. No one gives money free. Keep this single line mind. No one can cheat you.
