~intel p4 1.6
~intel 850GB mobo with 4 ram slots.
~128mb (64x2 pc800 rd ram) on 1st bay(2 slots) and the new 512mb (256x2 pc700 rd ram) on the 2nd bay(2 slots)
~things used to be much faster when i was using only the 128mb pc800.
~Is the pc700 decrcreasing the performance? is there anyway i can overcloack it to make it faster?

pc700 memory modules are not supported by this mobo (850 chip set) and may run at pc600 speed.
to run dual channel mode, both ram modules have to be of the same size and speed. therefore a 128mb and a 512mb (btw with different speeds) will not work properly.
try to run both modules in bank 0 or remove the 128mb module and put the 512mb in bank 0.

check out whether if both pc700 and pc800 have same clock frequency...something in MHz....If not take out those two 64 MB ram cards and try....it would definitely be better performance
