The story of Christ is a Myth and I mean in the modern sense..yes there is some very little historical evidence that a man existed who might fit the bill as it were but even that guy was born in spring not at christmas. The myths and story of this mans birth are overlaid with the symbolic stories which permeate human history. Do some research into the ancient gods. Krishna, Osiris, Nimrod and many more. They are all referenced the Son of God or if you read these texts including the bible symbollically, Sun God, all born to virgin mothers and had twelve followers or disciples and there earthly fathers were all carpenters. They all died and were risen again within three days, the list goes on and on, but don't take my word for it, look this stuff up. its the 21st century you don't have to swallow alll the s**t your church, government or family shove down your throat you can find out for yourself(think for yourself). By the way, take a look at the zodiac, in winter Solstace the SUN/GOD(son of god) is lowest/shortest/dies after december 21st for three days and in pagan ritual is born again three days later for the new year on December 25th, what a funny coincidence..

When he said that I'm quite certain he did not mean it in the modern sense of "myth" as an unfounded story believed by many.
In many European languages, including Italian, the word has a flavour of "heroic tale", and that's probably the meaning he put to it.
There is quite good evidence that a person named Yeshua ben Yussuf existed, but whether he was "the Christ"(="the anointed one" is a totally different question, still another one whether he was the son of any god.
The Muslims actually agree with the former, but not with the latter.

There is historical evidence that supports the fact that he did exsist as a person, as many have already stated, Theres also evidence that Santa exists because theres a present under the tree from him, and money under your pillow from the Tooth Fairy. Every myth and legend evolved from some bit of truth, I can see no end in sight for this debate.........................

There is historical proof that Jesus existed and yes, I believe He is the Son of God. Call it a gut instinct.
