i dont really know what it is. can someone explain and tell me how to write it?

A haiku is a three line poem.
The first line has 5 syllables.
The second line has 7 syllables.
The last line has 5 syllables.
They are traditionally about nature, but modern haikus can be about anything.

(1) Pick a simple topic, like a spider or the sun or a rainy day.
(2) Describe what it is doing or what is happening or how it feels,
or what you see or think about when you observe it
(3) But keep it short, either three phrases or 17 syllables

Here is a quick example:

Down a spider's thread
Dew drops rolling one by one
Soon a string of pearls

Just five syllables
Then do seven syllables
Then write five again!
