why there would be contradiction between internal departments in the same organization?

the organization has one main objective and theortically there would be no contradiction between internal objectives but practically there is such contradiction, may be due to human nature. but is there any other reasons? please give me your suggestions

Different people have different ambitions and they are not always in sync with that of organization, hence all these problems. Basically people are plain stupid, simple.
