The genders are equally strong.
There are different kinds of strength: Emotional, physical, and intellectual. Intellectually, the genders are equal. Emotionally, in Western culture, women are stronger. This is because society allows us to be open about our feelings and emotions, while expecting men to "toughen up." We have stronger support networks, and we have a great emotional communication system. Men aren't as emotionally communicative with each other, because an emotionally-tuned man is considered by his peers as a "sissy." Physically, men and women can be equally strong depending on the challenge. But scientifically, looking only as muscle tissue, men have a clear advantage.

In some ways yes, and in other ways no.

For the most part men are physically stronger than most women. But as far as emotional strength, for the most part women are stronger. They usually have a higher tolerance for pain and emotional stress. Many women are better at tolerating psychological stress than some men.

Not all are like this though, and I am not making any sweeping generalities.

Strong has several different meanings and is sometimes attached to other words. My definition is to have the will and passion to be or do something. It is somewhat vague, but it covers a lot of ground. :)

If you're talking about "muscle" strength, then the answer is no. Women can be just as strong and stronger. Look at all the women weightlifters and such. They definitely look stronger than your average Joe.

physically? well in general, men are physically larger possessing a stronger upper body than most women, (but that is a generalizing statement)

mentally? i would have to say near equal if not equal, the data would suggest a slight skew one way or the other depending on the collection process.

verbally? no, generally, women have men beat hands down in the verbal rhetoric arena, men tend to communicate in non-verbal methods more than women, i believe that this dates back to the early mankind . men as hunters, need a quite and non-verbal method of closing in on the prey, whereas women gathering needed noise to route the potentially dangerous animals away from them, in modern times young girls are more into verbal communication than are young boys.

spiritually? again i would have to say that this area is about equal

if the question is a general question with all factors considered. i would have to say both sexes complement each other and are mostly equal in strength.. although as a man, i could not imagine giving birth, ouch!!

Depends on your definition of strength. If we are talking physical strength as in being to carry or move heavy objects kind of strength then men are strong then women as biologically we are designed that way.

If we are talking the ability to tolerate pain (e.g. child birth) women have a higher pain threshold.

If we are talking about in the areas of communication, perception or something non-physical? I'd say it's a toss up because then you have to get into the whole nature vs. nuture theory.

The average male is considerably stronger than the average female. ( physically stronger )
Testosterone x Estrogen! Even if a guy and a girl have the same mass weight, if their chemical balances are indeed that of an average male and an average female, the guy should be stronger.

Men stronger them women? Men physically stronger...yes. It's a fact that men have more muscle in their body than women. Stronger in courage...maybe...men are of centuries back that they are the hunters, providers, protectors. Yet a woman's strength of calm logic, inner strength, that we are nurturers, have a keen mind to know that our nurturing a man or nurturing something that needs to be tended to to come out to positive income...we are very strong. Gentle faces, bodies, yet very strong, kind, hearts and inner strength. Gentle warriors. What is strong? Wisdom of how to best utilize our personal attributes to enhance people or environment around you.

Depends on which way. Would they be strong enough to go through childbirth? Highly doubtful.
