Agree....I think people do it to take the focus off their own miserable lives for a little while.

I so agree. I could care less about all the weddings, divorces, births, deaths, etc etc etc etc.....It gets to be sickening because we're so subjected to this unimportant 'news'! I'd much rather hear news about donations to local children's charities, community events, etc.!!
