I think it's like this....Be too good and you will be stepped all over. Be too bad and you will be punished severly. Be good enough to do the right things, but bad enough to get by in "morally-grey-area" situations you will succeed. I think you have to be balanced.
Also, not everyone notices when your being good, especially if you work with people who are all bad. In fact, they might feel threatened by your goodness and hurt you in some way. Your not always or even usually rewarded for being good like some people say. Be a good person for you, but be bad/tough enough to shield and counter-attack from garbage that happens in life.
You can't rely on others to notice your kindness and come to the rescue. You have to be good for yourself.
By the way, the only bad people who don't prevail are the ones are very bad in a stupid obvious way. But when they use the powers of good to hide their bad motives, they always trick good into winning. Which is why if more people where more on the opposite of that, (being good but using slightly wicked methods when needed for the greater good), the bad would have a harder time prevailing.

it is always harder to do the right thing than the wrong.you are are already a valuable person, and being honest is just a inner beauty. It is so hard to be the bigger person,or the "one who compromises or gives in".turn the other cheek,or not retaliate..say things to hurt others because they are hurting you.If this is you, feel blessed, because you are the one that has already"won".you have God in your heart and will be rewarded for it.remember truth comes out in the end eventually,it always does.

It's just a game that god is playing.
The goal is to be completely happy with yourself and actions even subconsciously (you know those time that you don't confess that something makes you feel sick even to yourself).
If you feel that the bad guy is in advance you lose 2 points, because that means that you don't have self acceptance (so that you don't care who wins - there are no winners and losers) and you don't have faith to the process of your life.
See you in the next round... ;)

The bad win for the moment, but the honest win forever!!
Honesty wins you peace in your heart in your mind and in your life. Never get tired of doing good. I know how you feel but in the long run what you sow you reap and you will reap your reward!!

bad doesn't always win, and when you be honest, someone notices, they may not say anything, but someone always notices, and you win their respect.
