yes. he clearly is.

where he came from. well he was called yousuf youhana till about 2 years ago when he changed from christianity to muslim.

he has always been a good, as emphasised by his brilliant 111 against australia in melbourne in 2004, one of the best innings ive seen by a touring batsman. (im am aussie). spellbinding as he smashed shane warne all over the park. although no one could have predicted this run-surge.

The crew picked by Cricinfo seems the perfect crew attainable depending upon their performances the stunning decade except the twelfth guy Andrew Flintoff. His form of cricket isn't very a lot perfect for checks, and for someone who performs huge style 4 or 5 he averages an insignificant 31 in checks . i'd bypass up with both Mahela Jayawerdene or Shivnarine Chanderpaul for Freddie.Mahela has were given extra of his a lot in Srilanka while Chanderpaul has managed to play properly in any subject. So Shivnarine Chanderpaul in my view often is the 12 th guy.He has been such an impressive participant and extra commonly has performed even as the crew has been in a foul position, and his consistency is reliable besides. My crew is depending upon performances of cricketers throughout the time of the decade.it really is problematical to go away someone like Gambhir, yet i m left with out different determination. Gocharan's(My) crew : Graeme Smith-Captain Andrew Strauss Mahela Jayawerdene Brian Lara Mohammed Yousuf Shivnarine Chanderpaul Kumar Sangakkara-Wicketkeeper Brett Lee Anil Kumble Makhaya Ntini Mohammed Asif(Has been by many complications ,yet his 80 one wickets in only 16 suits makes me experience that he's really between the perfect ) twelfth guy:Mike Hussey

difficult to not be compelled, but not sure if dravid's stil up there, i think the pendulum has shifted and the best bat by a mile is ponting, then the likes of jayawardena, kallis and yousuf is next, i just think that there's a shift in the batting positions.

While it was a great and marvellous achievement of breakng 30 years old record and setting new record of most runs and centuries in a calender year, I really do not think that he can reach the milestones set by Ponting, Lara and Tendulkar in terms of centuries scored.

Most defintinitely, to break a 30 yr old record of the great Viv is really something, but his true test will come in the away series against SA.
