Use a Yonex. Buy a carbon or composite material racquet.
Before you buy one, test a few, feel the feedback that you feel on your wrist everytime you whack the shuttle. A good racquet will give the "feel" of the shuttle, without jarring.
Gut tension should be good, with a twang or twing sound instead of the thwack sound...:) That sounded funny, but thats the best I can do to describe the sound...
I would budget between Rs.1,300 to Rs.3,500 for one... depending entirely on the depth of your pocket.

If you are serious about this sport, buy a Yonex brand racquet of size to suit your age. Also make sure you buy a nice case to help maintain it properly.

buy a Yonex or Hart...
Remember bcs you r a beginner, buy a cheap Yonex or Hart, once you have learned the basic then buy the expensive racket.
Yonex is the best brand for badminton
Hart is similar to Yonex which has a lesser price tag....
