Top 10, I wouldn't put him into the Top 5 though.

Favre is one of the top 5 qb's ever, and this year he is playing well with a bad team, only one good player besides him, driver the most underrated receiver in the NFL, but that is about all he as, Jennings is to young still, Franks is about as quick as a turtle, and 3 new starters on the middle part of the offensive line, any QB would struggle with that, if favre was on a better team is stats would be much better.

Maybe not top 5 active QB's but still hall of fame worthy. His interceptions come from his last few years playing with a broken offense. Not to mention that his arm strength isn't what it once was. That said the guy still finds ways to get the ball in the end zone. I can't see how you could compare him with Manning or Moreno or Montana... guys who played their entire careers on good teams. Give them a mediocre team like the way the Packers have been playing in recent history and they might have worse numbers than Favre.

EVER I don't think he would make the top 5. Most outside of Green Bay and Packers fans would agree. It's not that he is that bad it's that there are others that great. Also he is killing his reputation. Want a top 5 quick. I would say Marino, Montana, Bradshaw, Randall Cunningham(one of the first running QBs that was accurate with his arm so I think he deserves to be up there.) As to the 5th I could see most putting people like Elway on there before Farve. If this wasn't likely to be Farve's last year then you know how many that are suddenly going to put him on the top 5 WOULDN'T. Ask about 2 years ago and see what people were saying. Farve WASN'T on the top 5.
Oh and to the guy saying put Marino on a medicore team all I can say is WHO do you think he played for? Plenty of times he played on what would be a medicore team for most QBs. Name his wideouts through the years. He wasn't on terriable teams but he wasn't on great teams.

Who says he is? Of course not. He's 3rd on the all time list of interceptions. There's way too many QB's through the years that is no comparison. Montana, Young, Marino, Elway, Manning. Theres 5 and theres more to add before we get to 10. Favre is a tough guy that has the desire to win at all costs (thats where all the int comes from). He's admired so much for his blue collar personality. He's like a QB that shoulda been a linebacker. To me he's kinda like what Rene Russo told Kevin Costner in Tin Cup after Costner said he blew it for not laying up "What do you mean blew it? nobody will remember who won the US open ten years from now but nobody will ever forget the Costner's 18th hole 12". Favre is a risk taker and like Russo says we may not remember Favres 250+ ints but who could forget possibly the greatest of all NFL games where he threw for 4 TDS the day after his dad passed away. I cried that night watching that game but business is business and the gunslinger is not top 5.

Perhaps of all the greats no longer playing, yes.
This year he is still in the top 10 in yards passed and fantasy points even with a subpar team.
He is definately one of the toughest, hardest working and inspirational QB still playing.
The newer QB's in the league are not half the man he is...both as team leader and player.

I have talked with a lot of people about this and there are a lot of arguments. Some people don't think much of him, and I ask them to name who they would put above him. When you look at the numbers and talk about it, it's harder to ignore his stats. I don't know if he's top 5, but he's definitely top 10. If you want to say he's not top 5, then who goes ahead of him. I'd of course put Johnny U and Montana (you can debate who's first), and most would put Marino, and Elway. The debate starts here. Who's #5?

I think Farve is a HOFer...but not in my top 5.
BTW...who are the idiots who are putting Bradshaw in the top 5 of all time.
Are you kidding me?
The guy got benched repeatedly throughout his career by Noll and the ONLY reason he has SB rings was the Steeler defense.
