i've just got really into Amy Winehouse, she has an amazing voice and writes all her own stuff, its really different from any of the other female singers in the charts.
new album out now called Back in Black
i really love the last Muse album released in the summer - every tune is a hit - its rocks so much - Black Holes and Revelations - you'll probably know 3 or 4 of the songs on it from being in the charts /on the radio.
I only suggested recent releases cos i think its more enjoyable to really get into an album then go see the artist live - both of the above are currently touring

Tool, a perfect circle, coal chamber, Stone temple pilots,
The butterfly effect ( you should definately give this band a shot they rock), Korn, slipknot, marilyn manson, drowning pool, mudvayne, the deftones, nirvana, system of a down, primus, soundgarden and a hell of a lot more. I live in Melbourne with my boyfriend and his band they play this sort of music.
I have to wear ear plugs most the time when i'm not at work but i love loud live music.
You should give the butterfly effect a go and listen to some of thier music on the internet thier wicked........ and tool and also sone temple pilots......

The Killers are the best new rock band to hit the scene in the last few years. Also, if you like Coldplay type stuff, try Keane.
