My daughter is in the 11th grade and she has already transfered once in her high school career. However i have recently noticed the extremely rowdy behaviour (ex. students bringing knives to school and frequent fights) of the students at her school and i am deeply concerned for her safety. I would really like to transfer her out of her current school but i do not know how that would look on her college resume. If anyone can please help me, i would really like to know if frequent school transfers affect your chances of getting into prestigious colleges. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank You.

My son went to three different high schools. He had great grades, was involved in sports and activities, a high SAT score, and got into his first-choice college.
If your daughter follows this formula, it won't hurt her chances; it may actually help, because it shows resilience.

I have changed high schools four times. As long as she were to keep up with her credits, being that the requirements change from school to school, I don't see much of a problem. In my case, changing schools almost helped me with getting into college. I had more than required classes for my history and science, and I got into college just fine. It can also be hard on a girl to change schools so close to the end of her high school career, making new friends and whatnot. Anyways, best of luck with that. :)
