yes 13 is still a child 23 is an adult i don't care about age as long as both are over 18 my husband is 25 years older than me but I met him when i was 22. if this is you please get a boy your own age besides it is against the law the guy would be considered a pedophile and if he is trying to mess with a 13 year old then he is. If you were my daughter I would hurt him

Seriously, I would be just a conservative little stiff and say that you shouldn't do that or you'll go to hell. I don't want to frighten you at that remark, though so don't take it too seriously. But I want to point out is that your feelings for someone ten years older than you is quite admirable at one point, almost as if you're seeing a cooler-looking father in this guy.
When I go to Japan on business, I've been hearing stories of girls as young as 16 marrying guys supposendly 10 to 15 years older (and it's legal in that country) and at times it's a happy marriage between the two. But I would try to reserve that feeling all because you're crushing on someone with more life experience. Talk to your dad and ask for advice on the matter. I mean he is older, but you don't look at him as a man (that's so sick and wrong, though). Harboring this feeling of pure bliss whenever you see him walking down your street is quite cute if you ask me, but there are things that you are probably not prepared to go through, and it'll end up with a lot of heartbreaks.
If you like this guy, and if he can wait a few more years until you're at a marriageable age, the go for it. Otherwise, it's cool to have a father-figure like him for you to look up to.

Sweetie..alot of young girls around your age likes boys that are so much more older than themselves but you have to realize that he is an adult and could go to jail..You have a long time to really fall for someone but only to be friends is ok..Never date him or he would be arrested...Is that what you want him to remember about you? I pray not..If he feels the same way about you dear then be very aware of what is goin on.. You have your entire life to live and you will like millions of boys as you grow up...Just please do not do anything that will cause him trouble..My daughter liked an older guy when she was your age, but it never went further than a little crush for she knew it was wrong..She did not want him to be embarassed when he was arrested for dating a minor...The laws are very strict with that...Find someone if you are thinkin of dating around your own age,,from your school...This man dont need to mess around with a minor for any reason and if he is then hun it would be in both of yall's best interest to move away from him...I will pray for your safety and I pray that God will show you which way to walk in your precious life...

Age never comes in liking and loving..

Its okay for a 13 year old to think she has a crush on an older man, it is absolutely wrong for a man that age to even think of a girl your age.

It isn't bad for you to have a crush on an older guy, but it is a bad situation. If he were to act on it he could get arrested and have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. That would be his decision, but in my opinion stick to guys your own age who will understand you and your life experiences better.

It's not bad unless you do something to encourage a relationship. It's normal to like an older guy just don't act on it. you would hope he wouldn't act on it but you can't always be sure. Not only would it be illegal but immoral because you are at a vulnerable stage in your life. don't rush growing up.

Its not a bad thing, but you shouldnt date him. I guy that age has been around the block a couple of times, so it is best if you keep your distance at least until you turn 18.
