love between a man and a woman does not equal happiness. God IS LOVE. GOD should not be excluded from the bedroom. Until God is let in and there is a complete giving of oneself between the husband and wife, then the couple will be dissatisfied at some level or 100% .
erotic love plus selfless love in the name of God = LOVE. Love does not ruin lives, selfishness does.

love has a very deep meaning to it and it involves hard work on both sides... love means being loyal, understanding, patient, committed, selfless, thoughtful, kind, faithful--in short, all the virtues.
majority of the world's population marry because of love, right? and lust--be truthful... what ruins their lives is when one partner, or both, loses focus on working toward loving each other selflessly. they get sidetracked with younger girls/guys or they get bored of the monotony of married life and don't want to work on spicing up their married life. and they communicate less because they presume they know their partner when in truth they do not anymore...
the end result? divorces, bitterness, hatred, jealousy, anything that could ruin a relationship...
