Blair , a failed primeminister without a vision, without policy but yet the ego of his ugly wife and himself knows no bounds.
They do not care about our country or any other but just how history will remember them.
So forcing himself onto the world stage , in his mind balances the books for a failed economy in britain.
Tony..sorry but youre a loser, you will never have the prestige at home or abroad that mrs thatcher had.

The reason why Britain concerns itself with other countries is historic as well as the fact that UK heads a massive collective of nations known as the Commonwealth. We're talking major money and politics here. On the home front the people are not neglected, it just feels that way. Members of Parliament, the House of Commons, do nothing unless and until the people demand something be done. If you have something you want done, contact your MP either via his/her website or visit the House of Commons on line. Have your say. Get things moving. The UK Corporation has worldwide business interests and owns and operates lots of it abroad. By now I should think that half of Manhattan is British owned. The NASDAQ [hope that's the correct spelling] is in process of trying to buy the London Stock Exchange - anyone can buy shares and anyone can own a business - buy today.

They still want to think they rule the world. It is right their in your history. Hell, man, they are still butting their noses into the affairs of a part of another foreign country. Otherwise there would be no Home Rule crap going on in Ulster. The only reason it hasn't been a part of Ireland for most of the last century is because of the money going into English pockets.from there. the only reason the mother country is trying to get loose is hanging on costs more than turning it loose.

By the way, The Yank power structure is doing essentially the same thing.

It's common sense that you can't help someone else if you don't help yourself first.

Vote me as PM and I won't give a flying f***k about any country that isn't ENGLAND! Also I'll get us out of the European Union (no more immigrants) abolish AIDS, castrate rapists/paedophiles, smack any 'royalty' out of the system, bring taxes down from 22% to 14%, and make the NHS pay-as-you-go, You can't go on the 'rock n roll' unless you have a VALID reason. Not just because you're too lazy to get a job. Oh yeah, and FREE JAFFA CAKES FOR EVERYONE.

VOTE JAMMY!

Politicians have the same massive EGOS to satisfy as movie stars.
The need to be on the big world stage in the "blockbuster movie".
They are desperate to have their name in the history books even if it is bad.
For a politician "Publicity is bad but NO publicity is worse"
The name Bliar is known everywhere in the world, does the average person know the name of the Prime Minister of Belgium? Demark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Brazil, Chile, Romania, (the population of Romania is bigger than the UK)

Britain is very active in supporting other countries in such a manner that it was neglecting its domestic affairs.

There was a time when the sun never used to set in the great British Empire. Now the great empire has shrunk into a small island, but their ego is still big.

Because we still think we have an empire, or at least a duty to those former colonies.

I agree with you - we should concentrate on our home affairs before performing on the international stage. Heaven knows we have enough problems of our own.
