Press the 'Insert' button on your keyboard. That button, if on, will delete whatever is after what you are typing.

Tap your "Insert" key and try again. You probably just touched it by accident without noticing. It happens from time to time.

it's because the 'insert' button on the right of your 'enter' key has been pressed, press it until it doesn't happen anymore
