That is a great question and I hope I can do justice to this super question!!
Yes ........ what you say is essentially correct. Man is moving almost irreversibly towards total isolation not only from all else but also from his own true self. It is not yet irreversible .... he may actually realise and change his ways before it is too late.
The culprit is the complete disregard of moral and social values which were evolved over centuries with painstaking experience and perseverance. The biggest contributing factor is this mistaken honeymoon with the principle of individual freedom, especially prevalent in the western democracies. This just keeps on hiking utterly selfish and self seeking tendencies which result in nobody caring for nobody at all!! Family, society, nation, humanity in general, all these are secondary and only 'me' matters....... man is himself choosing this path of utter loneliness!!

Also think of this, we've had telescopes and listening devices trained on the billions of stars and galaxies and not a sound is coming back to us. It took us only 200 years or so on earth to reach a technology able to send and detect radio waves and light sources. You'd think that the probability of life developing beyond or equal to our technology could be detected by now... Does that mean we're alone in the universe....an anomoly of existence? It defies logic and the idea of probabilities that this would be so, but why can't we hear or see anything?
We're alone with our thoughts and alone in our existence....feels pretty depressing when you think about it.

Man is alone as long as he does not open his mind. Even were there to be contact with a million alien species, Man would still be alone by his own choosing. It is up to Man to open himself in order that he not be isolated.

Theirs the natural and the super-natural. Both have become one, man wasn't created to be alone. You have to see this by the spirit!

I don't think so. We have many animals and plants in this world to protect and to guard against those confused men who know not but their own power.

That is up to him. Do his differences isolate him, or give him a basis for comparison?
We have much to learn from the beasts, and much to teach the young.

Yes and no.
There are certain things where no ane is a friend-- you HAVE to dig out alone. And as yet, we all have people who love us....
