If violence is in context and believable, I don't mind it. I've just gotten tired of the ridiculous shoot out scenes in movies. I fast forward thru most of them. I just find it stupid, unreal, and boring for a bunch of guys to be shooting all over and no one gets hit. Why are we still subjected to that absurdity??

War movies are usually more realistic, but I still don't feel like watching the bloodbath. Especially the old ones where they do hand to hand mass conflict.

I enjoy martial arts violence and old school swordfights because they require some art and finesse. There is a beauty about the craft and that is fun to watch.

Usually, I wont watch a movie for it's violence. I guess if it's a good movie, and there happens to be some.. I could deal with it. But if it's a movie that has a weak story line, and LOADS of violence.. I tend to stay away from stuff like that. Not because it offends me, but I consider it a waste of time and money.

Depends on what kind of violence.
It is sometimes thrilling to watch a horror movie with gruesome scenes but soemtimes it just grosses you out so I suppose it depends on the mood and preference as well.
And also my advice would be not to allow any kid below the age of 16 to watch movies with any type of violence because their minds are very fragile

Without - I'd like to sleep sometime. The news is bad enough with the violence.

with. desensitization helps make life seem easy. violence in movies creates a familiarity that when faced with it makes the ability to deal with it easier. the flip side is that kids are going mental without empathy in films, and instead model the behaviours of the violent 'winners'.

I love gore too, btw

Honestly, violence doesn't matter much to me. I'm not one of those guys who's obsessed with blood and gore, but at the same time fake blood doesn't really bother me (for the most part anyway). When it looks entirely real, I've been known to cringe!

Depends on what kind of mode I'm in. If I'm in a calm mode then no violence. If I'm really hyper then yes all for the voilence.
