Of course you should make a stockin for your unborn son he is part of the family even if he isnt completely here but he is here because you are carrying him... it will also make the family more perfect and complete just to see and anticipate his arrival seeing his stocking right next to his siblings and father... awww how cute I definitely reccomend putting his stocking in with the rest of his family (maybe even adding some little newborn items in it) and good luck on the delivery!

I am 37 weeks pregnant and due December 21st. I have a feeling I will deliver late, but I am hanging a stocking for our unborn son anyways, whether he's here or not. He's still a part of the family. I think it's a good way to incorporate him into the family during this season...maybe have your other children open it for your unborn son!
Congrats and good luck with everything! :)

I would certainly go ahead and make it; I agree with you on that.
Ask your husband and other children what they think. If the kids think of the baby as "their little brother" already, then why not? But if they're really looking forward to the day he's born as the day he arrives, there's no harm in waiting for next year.
If you'd really like to display it, maybe you could hang it separately. You can get a shadow box from a craft store (or make your own) and use it to display the stocking and some other Christmas-y baby items to use next year.

I think hanging a stocking for your unborn son is a cute idea!! Even though he may not be with you and you're family yet, by hanging a stocking, he's there in spirit and it'll be a good reminder to your family on something wonderful that's going to happen in the future!

I think that is a wonderfull idea, maybe to get the other kids involved you could take them shopping and have them each pick out a bottle or toy for the baby to put in the stocking. Im only 15 weeks pregnant but want to include my baby with christmas this year. I bought an ornament of a baby, but I think your idea is better! Good Luck and Congrats!

Why not? If it feels right to you, then do it. Ask yourself this: If the feedback you receive on this question is to NOT hang the stocking, will you follow this advice?
Personally, I think it's an adorable idea. By doing so, the rest of the family is included in the excitement and anticipation of the pending arrival of your future son.

You should do it! I thought about getting a stocking and a couple of things for my daughter this year and hanging it up. I'm 32 weeks due Jan 24.

u dont have to since he isnt here. But to get the kids u have excited about the new baby coming u could put one up and put lil goodies like baby spoons, baby food jars etc... in it. I am useing christmas to buy diapers outfits etc to prepare for my lil one coming also. I have a 4year old and a 15 month old and I feel any lil thing I can do to get my kids excited and more comfortible with the new addition to the family i try to do. It wouldnt hurt either way. thats up to u. You could also look at it as this is ur last Christmas with just ur 2 kids and save the the baby for next year. Good luck and God Bless. I pray u have a perfect birth.

I was only 2 months pregnant and my unborn child had christmas presents under the tree and a stocking at grandmas (thats where santa goes to drop the presents off..lol) My nieces and nephews thought it was so neat that santa brought the baby presents too. If your kids are younger and still believe in santa then they will probably think its neat too.
