First off what do you mean by skipping periods??

Missing a period is normal. Although if it happens regualrily then you definitly need to see a doctor.

You will very rarely be able to get pregnant if you have irregular periods.

Instead of skipping the inactive pills, why not just try to plan it so that you start your pills on a date that would mean your period would then not fall on your wedding or honeymoon. That's the great thing about the pill, you can plan a period months ahead of time. If this sounds too difficult or you don't want to do it this way for whatever reason, skip the inactive pills, but keep in mind this isn't a guarantee you will not get your period or at least some spotting. My wedding is in July and by taking the pill I know exactly when I will get my period (after the honeymoon!). You can do the same, just for October. I won't be skipping any inactive pills, I just started my pills on a day which allowed it to work this way. Open up a calendar and work it out.

Hello to you to. I'm a 20 year old woman who skips periods also. These are commonly known as irregular periods. The only effects I've had is worrying whether or not I'm pregnant. But so far as medically, I'm healthy. I've had an ultrasound and they found nothing. (I have my monthly paps also...) There are factors that can contribute to you skipping your period also such as stress, dieting, or too much exercise to name a few. But if you've already been checked out by the doc and she said you're fine, don't worry. On the other hand, if you're trying to get pregnant the effects can be you not being able to pin point when you're fertile.

I have had irregular periods since I started at 14 I am almost 18 now. I have gone 8 months between them... I have been checked out and they said my body isn't completly ready. However; there are many things that contribute to regular periods like eating healthy and excersice. Look on the internet for period info.

Are you on birth control? If Not have your doc run tests on your hormone levels... look into Poly cystic Ovary Syndrome, and endometreosis.... both of these female issues can lead to a lot more problems than you'd like.... look up on-line see if your symptom sound about the same then talk to doc... it isn't something you want to ignore.Good luck!

Well it's not entirely good for your body. But you won't grow breasts as quickly or largely as others will, and just body growth in general.

Try seeing a doctor, because it's not a good thing at all. It can chemically imbalance your body and brain.
