I never thought he was that great in college. i mean he put up good numbers, but he was in a amazing system. i always said VY should have the heisman. Now, he's barely rushing for any yards and all he does is catch swing passes. Yet, he's still always on SI's Top Ten rookies list. I don't buy this decoy thing anymore. I mean how long can you be considered a "decoy" when you dont produce anything???

I don't think he getting hyped anymore. Everybody has already jumped on the Reggie Bush is a bust bandwagon. I think its unfair consider he not the featured back and his team is winning their conference. Whatever they are doing is working.

that's obvious Reggie Bush became right into a bust. He became into meant to be like Ladamian Tomilson, yet isn't even a 1000 backyard rusher. He became out to be a undesirable version of Westbrook. Too many injuries and not very sturdy at rushing yet respectable receiving/punt return skills.

anybody who pays attention to college football knows he was great in college. it doesn't matter if you went to USC or not...you must be blind if you didn't think he was great. BTW, you don't win a heisman just because you pull out a career game in the title game. lol?

you know...i can tell you probably know nothing about the saints and just look at the box score each week. the saints already have deuce mcallister at RB. they're finding other ways to get bush involved...mainly having bush come out of the backfield catching passes. 300 yard rushing/400 yards receiving isn't bad for a second string RB.

i don't think he's a decoy. but, if he is, wouldn't you expect him not to produce ...since he's helping his teammates score? if, when he gets the full time gig and he still doesn't produce, then i'll admit he's a bust.

For starters if Bush hadn't come out of the media hyping USC I'm sure things would've been different. He had a great line in front of him and Pee-Wee Herman could've managed some decent games there. Remember Chris Perry the NCAA rushing leader who played with Michigan. Wasn't no hype there but if he was in a different uniform he woulda been hyped. On the offensive side of the ball he will never amount to anything more than a splitend and he's undersized for that. Warrick Dunn is a Bush mold but Dunn has a unique small frame toughness that bush lacks. NewOrleans needs to try him on the other side of the ball maybe FS. At least they made up for it by drafting Colston in the 7th rd. Bush is a waste in the NFL on the offensive side of the ball.

I have to agree with you on Bush's hyping. I think he was a great college player and deserved the Heisman though.
However, he is not playing against NCAA players anymore. The defensive linemen and backers are much faster, stronger and bigger than he was used to running around.
New Orleans needs to throw him to the wolves, so to speak, and give him the ball more. I think they are worried that he will get hurt and they will be out all that money.
I also am not very impressed with VY though. But at least Tenn is making him make plays.

This guy is a joke. Most running backs are expected to perform pretty decent in their first season as it isn't as much of a change from the position in college to the NFL. Yet he's found some way to screw it up. To be a decoy wouldn't you have had to produce something in the first place? This guy will never be more than a middle-of-the-road rusher.

He is still getting Hyped because the NFL wants him as the spoke person or new NFL face. What's wrong with having Michael Vick as such, or Payton maning, Look at the NBA who is the face of the NBA L. james, how many players are in the NBA that are better than him, C. Anthony, Kobe, etc.

Reggie who? Oh, that guy in the Subway commercials. Does he play a sport? Seriously, I don't necessarily think he's overhyped, I just think the Saints need to find a better way to get him more involved than just special teams. But what do I know, I don't follow the Saints all that much. I'll let you know when they play my Niners this weekend.

He was overly hyped and most have accepted that. He isn't anything special anymore. Maybe he was at the College level, he isn't at the Pro level though.
