Blood clots during menstruation just mean that the flow was heavy and that the blood has had time to pool in the vagina and clot before passing out.

Blood clots are probably due to heavy periods but spotting is not a good sign. Go to a gyno.

Could mean you have Fibroids in your uterus (non cancerous growth) but they can get painful... also check out poly cystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis along with hormonal levels... Do you have pain with it too? anyways-don't ignore it- go talk with doc!
