Well birds of a feather, when they decide to become part of our culture rather than trying to establish radical Muslim culture pockets then maybe they'll be better accepted. If they want the American dream then they need to become a part of it just like all the other immigrants that came before them. But if they want to bring their backward stone age social system, politics and behavior and their shoddy mistreatment of women here, then they should just go back to wherever they came from, and good riddance.

No matter what, people will still treat those they see fit as how they want. As a whole, the USA currently dislikes the Middle East and those who come from it. This of course, is dead wrong. People do not deserve to be treated poorly for something they did not do, or do not believe in. I've met several people of Arabic decent, who are Muslims even.. who were and are dead set against terrorism and terrorist act of the past or now. Believing and acting as those all Arabic people are evil and terrorists is just as bad as the Islamic extremists who believe the same way about all Americans. Hate is a cycle, it can't be broken, but you can choose not to be a part of it.

Well yeah. We are getting bombarded by the print and news media about all the attrocities going on in those countries with large populations of muslims. On the average we tend to stay away from people who look and and dress like the people shown on news clips and in the pictures in the paper and news magazines. I think its a natutral hesitation on the part of most people. Because of all the media hype we don't really know who to trust anymore. I wouldn't shun anyone just because of their dress or their religion. I try to get to know people as individuals first before I make any decisions about whether I would want to be this person's friend. But for many of us I guess that either just isn't possible or they can't get past the hype. Who knows.

I don't know why it's still a problem. Just because a few idiots crashed planes into the WTC doesn't mean the whole race should be blamed for it. (just like w/ any other race...just cause a few idiots are being stupid doesn't mean the whole race is like that.) Besides, isn't the war supposed to be on Terrorism and not Middle Eastern people?

i don't have any sources or anything,, i am just telling you from experience,, my name is Brad,, my father is canadian and my mom is Lebanese (Lebanon is a tiny beautiful country in the middle east). So i am half western half arab,, the thing is that, western people really think very stereotypically,, i mean there is hundreds of arab terrorists out there, we ALL know that,,, but that doesn't mean arabs are all terrorists,, and thats they reason why they are still treated unfairly,, the thing, is that, no offense, but americans don't take it into their own hands to educate themselves about the world around them,, about different countries, different cultures,, they just turn on their TV and believe what CNN or fox news is telling them,,, here in Lebanon especially, (lebanon is the most wester-like country in the middle east) we take mostly world history in history class, unlike in US where all i use to take when i studied that was american history and WWI and WWII stuff! BE open more to the outside world and they will find out that there is truely nothing to be scared about,,, Arabs are amazingly warm and kind people, family life here is 10 million times stronger than in western countries,, people are always around you welcoming you and inviting you over,,, you feel that you belong, that you're part of society no matter who you are.
i dunno if i answered your question or not,,,
hehehe bye

I am not sure why i think it is stupid to hate a whole race for something that happened....we do not have all white people because people were killed or all Germans so why hate middle easterns or people who look middle eastern or even the Muslims that may not be middle easterns...that is pure RACISM!! Racism is racism no matter how you look at it....when people stop it!!?? It should stop right now!!

Unfortunately, the tone of Muslim extremists requires that people keep their guard up. The England bombing raid was NOT several years ago. It was several weeks ago. Clerics have called for Muslims to murder Americans. That edict just came out in the last weeks too. It's not long ago and far away. It's here and now. It's sad that innocents become suspect, but even the innocents remain silent in the face of terrorists who murder in the name of Allah.

Yeah people hate us...even the ones who don't want to. We're good people, but like in any group of people...there's always some idiots. We all get blamed for those idiots. I don't feel very welcomed unless it's by my own people, or people that are minorities.
