Try a product such as Glycolic acid (its a gental peel). i find this would be your best solution. You can find this in products such as Even-tone or MD formulations. its a gentle form of exfoliation and it will give even looking skin, and erase pigmentation discolorations left behind from acne or other skin conditions. Start at a minimal percentage such as 12% working you way up to a 25%, you will notice mild stinging once you start but that's normal as your skin adjusts. good luck.

p.s: don't be afraid to try before you buy!! go to a beautician who offers MD formulation products and ask for advice and samples.
