How can people know that love exists if they can't even define it? How the hell does this quote justify love's existence?

"Im just gonna keep it simple... Love never has/never will be able to be defined! How do you know if ur in love? u just do end of story! If you doubt it then the answer is no!"

How is love different from a crush? How is it bigger? Don't you still feel the warm fuzzy feeling? The desire to hug someone? The desire to have a commitment? Is love merely an exaggerated crush? No? Why?

Based on most people's feeling about love, can love at first sight exist? Does love really take time? If so, why do people who say this also imply that love at first sight can occur?

Do you really need love to exist, even if you can't define it? Wait, why won't people come up with a definition? Did the idea that Love=Crush come to their head and that they're denying it? Is denial the reason why people can't come up with a definition?

Is love really lust, affection, and commitment combined? Did someone just group three things and name it, just to prove that love exists?

Is love nothing but an exaggerated crush? Are most people's idea of love based on TV and melodrama?

I like the definition of love in the Bible, whether someone is Christian

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud. It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails

Though I also understand how some people say it's indescribable, because it's a feeling...you can't really do justice to any feeling with words

To me love is like a INFANT, when he is fascinated by something, he most assuredly extends his hands to grab that thing and as soon he holds the thing he wants to put it in the mouth, basically we grew up from that stage, we dont put everything in our mouth, because we have learned that there are other sensations than just eating.

Look at a infant, he is suddenly taken by some people and some people he just starts crying when they get near to him. Why does he instinctively has these reactions. His filters are simple and he knows his comfort and compatiblity with people by instinct.

Love at first sight for people like me is difficult, I have my 5 senses alive, I Touch, See, Hear, Feel and Taste all are strong in me, so to be in love I need to have a balanced attraction for all these 5 senses.

Some people have only 1 sense alive and overpowering, maybe they can fall in love at first sight. I think a crush is different and love is different.

Love cannot be described. I most certainly feel, love is a feeling which creates a hollow in your stomach and you feel like you are not fulfilled until you see the object of your attraction.

This hollow sometimes changes us into beautiful human being and some times it changes us into mean thing.

I probably feel like writing a longer answer than your long question, but I have given enough of my thoughts, so I end here. Also you can take a look at this research site, there are many topics like these here .

The only way I have been able to distinguish a crush from love was after the break-up. Then everything is crystal clear. A crush fades so very quickly. Get over it a week, maybe a month. Never really miss the person. Might think of them fondly and wonder what they are up to from time to time. No jealousy. Wish them the best sorta feelings. The one person that I know I loved. OMG I can never shake it off. Always think about the person. Feel sad and hurt at his absence. Miss and care about him forever. Can never imagine him with another woman. It will stick with me forever. I dont think you can stop loving someone. You either did or didnt. It is kinda like a family member. No matter really what happens you still love them.

I love my children, and that is the only love I have known. I thought I loved their mother but now I do not know. When I think of my kids it is like saying a mantra when one meditates, my mind goes completely blank, it is like total peace. With the "love" I have felt for women I never felt peace when I considered them, I felt anxiety. Now this may be my problem. Maybe I don't know how to trust people. But if what I felt for my children's' mom was love then I do not recommend it for anyone. If you want to know what it feels like to love, have kids.
