Why does the public have this idea that actors are heroes and why they would rather choose them over a real hero like a fireman or someone in the army?

I think it's because celebrities are everywhere we look all the time. turn on t.v. and the first thing you see is a celebrity. look at a magazine, the first thing you is a celebrity. turn on the radio, and you hear about celebrities. they're in our faces all the time, and with all the media frenzy, hype, and press they get { whether they want it or not} we're seeing them everywhere. including the computer! people see pictures and hear about celebrities so much, that they actually start feeling like they know them when they don't! I think people just get so caught up with everything Hollywood, that they lose touch with reality to a certain degree. and the real heroes unfortunately get over looked. it's sad, but true. I could go on, but I've probably written enough! I hope this helps answer your question .

Because the average American IQ has actually dropped due to the input of Rap and other degenerative forms of entertainment.
So the real can not be distinguished from the fake...hence Actors which live fake lives as fictitious characters are believed to be the Characters they portray and revered as heros and such ...

What makes you think that? What makes you think people DON'T think of firemen, or soldiers as heroes? They always have. Just because someone idolizes a celebrity, does NOT mean that they, therefore, shun firemen, or soldiers. Your question is specious.

If I'm trapped in a burning house or someone is trying to break in to my home I'm going to call 911 and not some idiot celebrity. My thanks to all the underpaid and overworked firefighters and police officers who put their lives on the line everyday.
