There is really no way to tell her that you think she should spend more time making herself look pretty. She will interpret that to mean that you think she's ugly the way she is.

Make it easier for her to take care of herself. Do you know how aggravating it is to shave your legs every other day? How long some women take to put on makeup (through no fault of their own)?

Arrange a day or weekend that goes something like this:

Call a spa. Pay for some face and body waxing, a facial, a massage, and a manicure.

Afterward take her to get a new haircut and maybe, if the salon has one, a consultation with someone who does makeup.

Take her to the mall and buy her a new outfit. Something on the fancy side, for going to dinner or dancing.

Then take her home and run a bubble bath for her. Let her relax for a few hours.

Ask her to get ready to go out to dinner, and wear her new clothes, fix her hair, etc. Take her to a nice restaurant.

That seems like a lot, but she will get the point that you want her to be taken-care-of. Those are things she may not go out and do for herself. I know after I get a facial, I am more likely to take care of my skin; after waxing, I try to keep things smooth, and after I get a manicure I like to keep it up.

Make it something that's good for her and makes her feel nice instead of an insulting conversation.

I find I long to be pretty as well. I am 14 and I'm not the prettiest gal in the world, but I have a few ways of reducing my spots and covering up and making myself more attractive, I find i'm becoming prettier as i grow older: Smile. Tie your hair back off your face and wear it in a high ponytail or bun. Get your ears pierced and wear dangly earrings (I found this makes the world of difference) Use Simple cleansing wipes and Simple moisturiser. Use Oxy On The Spot for your spots. When you are shopping with friends, get some Lacura foundation 10 Transparent, hide it from your mum and dab it over your spots. Also, put some under your eyes. It brightens your eyes up. Join some after school clubs or get a little paper round job. Splash out on new, trendy clothes once in a while. Ummmm, i cant really think of any more at the moment, but maybe... Pray?? I dunno, it might work. I really hope you overcome your lack of self confidence, maybe joining an acting group and making some new friends would help. If you are getting too depressed go on childline website and go on the one to one service where you can talk to a counseller confidentially online. Also, my mum doesn't like me wearing makeup, but maybe have a chat when you're next in boots and say that you really want to look more attractive or something like that, I kinda did this with my mum and she doesn't mind me wearing a little foundation/concealer and some mascara now. Hope you win her over, and don't worry hon, you are beautiful inside and out :)

Maybe you should love her for what she is, not for what you'd like her to be. I'm not sure there's any way to tell her without hurting her. And maybe she prefers being natural.

If she's hairy, it's a hormonal thing. Especially if she has facial hair. Remember that some women are as hairy as the average man. If she starts removing it, she's going to have a lifetime of removing it.

Does it really matter so very much to you? Are you sure you're the right guy for her and that she's the right girl for you?

Well I'm glad you don't want to hurt her. Just try to keep in mind that your not perfect by any means either. I like the sugestion about a beauty spa as well. Remember what you see on TV as well as in Magazines is NOT real. It's airebrushed photoshoped and imperfect as hell. If you really love her this is the test of love as she is tested with you as well daily. Do you look like Marky Mark when he was a underware model?

why don't you surprise her and take her to an all day spa and make sure they have waxing and make sure you get a package that has it . it's a great gift and a wonderful way to say i love you all women love spa days so spend the money and this way you never have to say anything talk to the people at the spa and tell them what you want and trust me they will make sure the deed is done . lol
