Right now I am an hourly manager,at a local fastfood joint.I make pretty decent money,however I dont get enough hours.Does salary pay more or are all the hours you work really worth it. Salaried managers work sometimes 60 hours a week

Yes, your hours are usually a little more flexible when you are salaried, and you will generally be taken more seriously and considered more permanently employed on a salary.

Salaried managers who work 60 hours a week should be getting overtime for it. Sometimes people will work for a salary with the understanding that they are working a different number of hours at different times, and use compensatory time off instead of time-and-a-half for the overtime.

Still, in general a salaried position is taken more seriously as a reference on a resume than an hourly wage position. That alone can make it worthwhile.

If you are salaried - you get paid for 40 - even if you work 60
Being paid hourly - you can get time and a half for OT

HOWEVER, in your situation - it appears your company is keeping you under the money - and if they do get you to 40 hours - they may want to go salaried to use you

yep - making $14 an hour may take you way down if salaried - working 60 is only worth 9.33/hr Y U C K
