If the pressure is good in each tire, you need to reset the monitor. This has to be done any time air is added or released from any tire and when the tire are rotated. It's easy to do. Press the "i" button on the DIC repeatedly until the tire pressure monitor is displayed. Then press the button with the arrow on it (looks like the arrow on the enter key on a keboard). The DIC should display a message reading "pressure monitor reset" or something to that effect. The DIC will chime. Then you're good to go.

The tire pressure monitor on GM vehicles sets the tire pressure warning indicator when there is more than 1.5 pounds difference between tires. If your pressure is ok according to the prvious statement, you may be able to reset the warning indicator by opening the fuse panel and, with the ignition in the RUN position, pressing a button for five seconds. If this is not the case, a dealer service manager should be able to explain what you need to do to reset this warning indicator.

some tire pressure monitoring systems relie on vehicel speed sensors at each wheel. if you spin your tire sometimes it can set off that light. going around steep turns can also do it. other systems read the ride height at each corner of the car. parking on uneven ground alot will set the light. a few cars have transmitters in the wheels that can malfuction or give the wrong reading after a tire rotation. the light does have to be manually reset once it goes off even if the tire pressure is correct. check the owners manual for the proper way to do this or take it to a local tire shop.
