Personally, I would take a complete inventory, keep a copy of the list, and send the entire collection to a dealer in the US you trusted to make a fair offer. The two dealers I would recommend off the top of my head would be Frank Robinson in Albany, NY or Bob Reis in North Carolina. You will not get a very good price in Thailand for US coins. If the coins were rare dates, etc. I would recommend consigning them to an auction, but it sounds like most of what you have is more common material.

Your best bet to get the most money is an auction like Yahoo or EBay, but that is an item at a time thing. There are coin dealers there, as well as Singapore and Hong Kong. You would get your more money here in the states, but dealers are leery about coins from Thailand, for most U.S. coins from there are counterfeits or just plain fakes. You might have trouble with auctions also. There has been a lot of articles in the numismatic press, of fakes coming from Southeast Asia as well as China. You may have an uphill battle here because of where you are.
