The record for most runs in a single calender year in test cricket was held by Sir Vivian Richard of West Indies (1710 runs) for the past 30 years. That record has been broken by Mohd. Yusuf of Pakistan today against the 3rd Test Match against West Indies being played in Karrachi.
Hence Mohd. Yusuf of Pakistan is the new record holder for most runs in a calender year in test cricket.

Sachin Tendulkr of India holds the checklist of maximum runs in one day Internationals in one calender 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. He scored 1894 runs from 34 suits (33 Innings) in 1998 with 9 centuries and everyday of 6.31, which the present checklist. .
