can you ask a family member. probably someone in your family knows at least some one linked to the other family. I think since your in the same state it shouldn't be too difficult. Do you know if he is alive? Try intellius, you can search for him by name, birth date or age, State, and it will show a list of names and it will say if they have found him or not. It won't give you the actual address or phone number unless you pay the fee, but at least you will be able to know that the info you put in corresponds to their info, or it wouldn't come up, right? I think it shows what city without they fee attached, Then you can decide if it's worth the 10 or 12 bucks to find your real father or not. If you have no credit card you at least have a start, you can then go to the telephone directories. Good Luck.
