i just don't get it. i know a guy who's so hot and all the women are after him and he's alone. he's been divroced and has a child but the little girl doesn't live with him.
why do you think he's been single all these years

Perhaps he overvalues personal freedom and believes therefore that all others need to be kept at a distance except for the necessity of sex. That he can afford to be like this reflects rather poorly on the female who seem to fall for him but are unable to bind him!! May be he is too clever and thus ensures to avoid altogether any serious woman!!
Such males can only be captured through blatantly open praise!!

That "he" is not an inanimate object He is a person with a mind , a heart that is capable of love and affection. It is possible that he is deeply hurt after the disappointment with his first marriage.
The person that you describe could have had a sense of pride knowing his plus points. That person could have expected that any woman would fall for him and that he would be able to choose well. He DID and it turned out that his ego has been deeply hurt by the rejection by the wife. It can leave a deep scar and that will always remind him of his falliability.
The fact that even his child does not live with him is all the more sad. I am sure he does not want to get hurt a second time , a third time. He would rather have a non committing relationship now.
I personally leave such a sensitive person alone.

What makes you think he likes marriage? He is divorced with a child? What is wrong with being single? Nothing absolutely nothing. It is better to be single and happy than to be married and make two people unhappy (in his case 3 people including the child) Maybe he is still in love with his wife? And maybe he is romantic with many women because they are filling up the gaps, the lonliness. Maybe he is trying to get his life together? There are a million and one reasons but I dont have the time.

Maybe his first marriage was so bad that he's afraid to consider dating or marrying again. Or, maybe he's just taking time off and being a good father to his daughter. He might not want to drag different women in and out of her life. Maybe he's putting her first. She could be his main priority. That would make him even more awesome.

Really hot, huh. I'm sure he knows it, continuously reminding the women he's with and it gets old.
I was married to a "perfect" man for 12 years. It's a real strain emotionally.

Do you know him personally though? Usually people like that aren't mentally stable in some sorts. If everything seems on the up and up though maybe he just doesn't want to be in another relationship after marriage. Some men are like that and they just dont want to risk being hurt again.
