I never thought I could get up in front of a classroom and talk, or talk before a room of my peers. I was tongue tied growing up. I stuttered and went to see a number of forgettable speech teachers. I hated it. My problem was emotional, not physical. The Marine Corps cured me of that. There is a gr a gr gr gr gr grenade coming! Actually I just out grew it. I never stutter and I can address an audience. What fear have you out grown?

I used to stutter, too. But then I started singing and now I don't stutter near as much. Apparently, the brain uses different parts for speech and singing, but once I put the two together, I had a winning combination. As far as standing in front of a crowd, I am good at that too.
I can fend for myself. I am self sufficient, something, that a few years ago, I didn't think was in me to do.
I can do origami way better than I did. I can fold paper cranes, now. Little frogs and all kinds of stuff like that. I used to make paper hats for my kids all the time. Boats. Chinese lanterns. Now, I am showing my grandkids.

I have overcome the fear of being alone. As a child I did not even like to be left inside the house alone even if my mother was only out working in the yard. As a young woman I thought I had to have a man around to keep me company all the time. Now that I am a widow, I find myself alone much of the time when I am at home, but it really doesn't bother me.

Because of Mental, physical, and sexual abuse as a child, I really did not think I would be good at anything but being bad. The most amazing thing I am seeing my self do is being a mother and a faithful wife... which is something that I never thought I would be. I am proud to say my sisters and I are over coming family curses one at a time.

I never thought I would get to a place where I wasn't afraid of my dad. It was only a few years ago that I finally was able to feel like an adult in his presence. The first time I stood up for myself (to borrow Agrippina's phrase) and spoke respectfully and lovingly, yet as a woman not a scared little girl, he did not speak to me for almost 2 years. Now things are somewhat better.

Public speaking.

I thought I'd freak out if I ever spoke to a crowd.

Now I've spoken in front of hundreds of people and I enjoy it.

do striptease.. ooopps, sorry.. j/k

seriously though, i've outgrown the fear of being "naked", when I was young, i had that fear of being exposed (physically).. but growing up, i learned to appreciate my body more and more.. so now, i can even "sing and dance naked in the rain".

Tieing my shoes. It took me forever to learn how to tie them like my dad did until he said watch me. He is right handed, I am left handed.
