I'm of mixed race. I came from a large city with a diverse population and have been living in a small town for the last four years and can't move for another year or two. I'm really tired of the insults directed towards my family, but mostly I'm tired of strangers getting in my face and asking "what are you" before even asking my name. I can't even go to the grocery store without someone walking over and asking and then walking away after I've answered. I think its dehumanizing and rude. I'm a person, i have a name. The last few years I've responded with, "why don't you guess" b/c its a playful way to make the inquisitor uncomfortable and 100% have been wrong in their guessing thus far. Sometimes I just don't have time for this so I need a new response. Anyone have an ideas? Something that isn't mean spirited (odds are I will run into some of these people again) but something that makes them realize they are being rude.

Hi, This is very easy and is not rude. It will stop them in their tracks and bring to their attention that they are being rude without you saying it. When they ask you a personal question you do not want to answer, simply say, "Why do you ask?" That will be the end of that as they will be on the defense, not you. I really hope this will help. It has helped me many times. You don't have to answer any personal question just because someone has asked it. They are the ones being rude for asking, not you for not answering it. Good Luck!

i admire the respond that stated you're making plans on no longer having the infant! LOL!! i'm getting an identical factor, i'm due in a sprint over a week. attempt sooner or later only no longer responding to the texts and answering the calls and watch all of them freak out, it is humorous. they start up texting and calling like loopy asking in case you're in exertions and stressful you call them "as quickly as you get this message!" I did that the day previous then later only instructed quite everyone I had positioned my telephone on vibrate to take a snooze and forgot to instruct it returned up. truthfully, i replaced into only bored with responding and answering calls.

Well, if I were you, I may ignore them for I believe that I have my right to live on who I am. God never see us differently.
And if they do ask again...try to use the suggestion given by leothecomm. It is a nice one.
