Where did these racial slurs come from?

I'm not racist and I do not freely use these terms. But I wonder where people came up with them. Some just make no sense to me. I know some of them, such as WOP is "with out papers," but I have compiled a list of racial slurs to see if anyone knows where they came from. Please no rude comments I'm just curious.

I would like to add that I had to doctor go*ok b/c it was the only racial slur out of these that Yahoo recognized and bleeped out when I previewed it.

Ok, yeah they are offensive but I really wanna know how the hell people come up with this crap.
