Does Pat Riley wake up every morning and think to himself, "Why the $%#& didn't I retire last summer?" I sure would.

Riley is a champion - and champions never quit. That's why Jordan kept coming back. They want to win every game. That's probably the main problem with Lebron right now, he doesn't seem to have the ability to give it his all every second he is on the court...he seems to be following in Vince Carter's footsteps and not Magic, Bird or Jordan...or Russell, West and Cousy before them.

As for the Heat - they only care about making the playoffs. Right now Shaq is out and so is J.Will. Payton is 20 years past his prime and Walker seems to have turned 50 overnight.

Provided they make the playoffs...Shaq will be the key. He played second fiddle to Wade last year and given the decline in everyone's game (except D.Wade), it will be up to the big guy to make an impact. The only problem with that is that Shaq looked awfully old last year, so unless he somehow got younger, I don't see the Heat going far this year.

You cant fairly hate Pat Riley for leaving the Knicks. They nonetheless had a super group, yet they only had terrible wide-unfold dealing with era. I advise bringing in coaches that doesnt extra healthful with the form of play nonetheless if he's doubtless one among the terrific coaches ever. Paying bothered participant like Marbury thousands and thousands of dollars and doesnt even positioned up one million/2 the stats he merits, and merely fantastically lots overpaying their total roster. you purely cant blame pat riley for leaving even nonetheless that's an extremely minimum rationalization why the knicks suck yet ninety 9.999% of the reason they suck is by using the fact Isiah Thomas is terrible at dealing with going far extra than the cap earnings and purely a terrible supervisor

In a similiar situation to last year , Riley will resign as head coach and Stan Van Gundy will retake control of the team LOL

i think the heat are very lucky to have dwyane wade on their team anyway most of the players on the heat are over 30 years old, pat riley needs a faster, younger and more lethal team.
