I'll have to argue and say that the Sharks will win the Pacific division. Great teams are built up the middle and the Sharks truly follow this path, with the best 1 2 combination of centres in the NHL in Marleau and Thornton, and in goal with Toskala and Nabokov. The centres are able to split much of the ice time among each other and can team up for key power plays and late game situations(think Messier and Gretzky). Add in the scoring punch of young guns Jonathan Cheechoo, Steve Bernier, and Milan Michalek and you're looking at a deadly combination. The back end is sharp too, with rookie Matt Carle quarterbacking the powerplay and gritty Scott Hannan and Kyle Mclaren locking up the back end. Again considering how much rest both star netminders can get(think Gerber and Ward, Vernon and Osgood, or Barrasso and Wregget) and you're not only looking at a team that is good enough to win the Pacific division crown, but will surely compete for Lord Stanley's Cup.

I think the Ducks win the division but not by much. I think the Stars and Sharks are the 4th and 5th seeds come playoff time and have a better record than any of the other division winners. The pacific is just a nightmare of a division I think 1 of those 3 teams will be representing the west in the cup finals. Amazingly the Ducks and Stars still have 7 games left head to head and if the Stars are hot when they play the division could swing to them but either way I dont see more than 5-8 points seperating the 1st and 3rd place team in the Pacific.

Anaheim will win the Pacific. Not to say that the Sharks or the Stars will not be up there they will...they are certainly excellent teams..it just seems the Ducks have the right chemistry, enough offense, excellent defense and solid goaltending that makes the team so darn good. This should be the Ducks' year. Selanne is coming on strong, the youth with Kunitz, Getzlaf, Penner, Perry are contributing a lot. Role players like Marchant, Pahlsson, Moen, and Rob Niedermayer are doing the unheralded things but are being very effective....and the defense is just fab!!! Scotty and Chris, Francois and O'Donnell and Di Penta and O'Brien...then Giguere is having a solid season with Bryzgalov very solid also...not to mention having a rookie goalie step in a game and the team gave him all the help he needed to secure his NHL first win...Michael Wall. I'm seeing Ducks winning the Pacific.

I think it'll be down to the wire between the Ducks and the Sharks, with the Stars closeby. My gut says that the hated Ducks will take the title, but my heart hopes that the Sharks will triumph. This is truly an elite division that is all up for grabs.

I think the Ducks and Sharks may be the two best teams in the NHL right now and it's tough to say which one is better IMO.
I will go with the Sharks but it's close.

After finding at their final video games i've got come to the top that they are going to in basic terms win 5 of the ten, all losses coming in regulation, giving them 103 factors. the geese will win 6 of their final 8 video games, the two losses coming in beyond accepted time, giving them 104 factors. the celebs will win 7 of their 8 final video games, with the loss coming in beyond accepted time giving them 104 factors to tie the geese for the branch lead, yet because of the fact Dallas gained the season series they win the branch, Sharks coming in third. which will provide them not extra effective than 5th spot interior the convention, the place they are going to be matched up with the 2d place Northwest team, which will regrettably results of their submit season loss of life.

If the Ducks keep playing like they are now (and no one gets hurt), they'll have it in the bag.
