Rythm of the rain was originally performed by The Cascades. They are all guys. It has also been "covered" by dozens of artists, including Johnny Rivers, Jan and Dean, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Neil Sedaka, and Dan Fogelberg. None of them seem to be girls.

yeah Dan Fogelberg and he sang that other odd sounding song called the 'leader of the band'. It's such an odd voice that you would think it was a woman kind of like Boy George hehe.
