i don't understand. advertise what? your house specificly?

if its the construction company advertising, "this is a house we built" then yes, they're probably within their rights.

if you're in the middle of selling your house and the real estate agency is already posting ads for it, i don't see why you'd want to stop them.

if you've seen an ad for, lets say, jiffy flower delivery and they shot a picture of the jiffy flower delivery van on the street your house is on and your house is in the shot, then there's two things: 1) i don't think your case is with jiffy flower delivery, but with the photographer. and 2) a photographer has full legal rights to whatever pictures he can take in the public way. the street your house is located on, for instance.

so the answer is yes, its okay and no, you don't "own the likeness" of your house in any case.

i'm not an expert, but i'm pretty sure.

It's legal if they are photographing it from the outside while off of the property.

No, it's not okay. If it's a commercial pursuit, you need permission.
