I love Rock Sound because they keep it real and write about new bands because they're good not because there's a big hype or marketing budget behind them like the rock weeklies do. It comes from a small independent publisher and you can see that they really love music.

I have discovered so many great bands through Rock Sound. They wrote about Mastodon before anyone else and feature great bands like Coheed and Cambria on the cover.

Plus there is a a CD on every issue so you can hear as well as read about the new bands they feature.

There has been a redesign recently and it now comes with a giant poster every issue which is ace except that i need more wall space.

Rolling Stone is a trashy political mag that pushes socialism and some music stuff added to attract people with an interest in mainstream music... it sucks! I want ROCK music without the Britany Spears and Mariah Carey BS and the political crap thank you!

Circus has always been a good mag, as well as Metal Edge.
